Elite and amateur athletes, regardless of their sport, realize that sometimes training by itself is not enough.   Hypnotherapy is just one of the methods used by sportsmen and women today. Tiger Woods uses visualization techniques (as well as certain after hours relaxation techniques we will not mention).  He imagines himself producing the perfect swing and playing the perfect shot immediately before doing that, he does not hit bunkers or obstacles because in his mental images they don’t exist.

Stress and anxiety will be alleviated; positive suggestions will be used to increase your health and wellbeing and to visualize your specific sporting goals and requirements.  Hypnosis can instill mental confidence in place of negative thoughts allowing the mind to focus on the goal ahead.   Self-hypnosis can be taught, so you can practice and continue in your own time incorporating the exercises into your training regime, using imagery and mental rehearsal, giving you a clear vision of the outcome of the sports event, putting you in control.

Maximize your training and natural abilities by using visualization techniques before physical activity.  This can greatly enhance the athlete’s chances for a more effective performance.  Hypnosis can give you a competitive advantage over your opponents whether you are a team player or individual athlete by fine-tuning your belief system, belief in your ability, belief that you can achieve your goal and belief you will succeed.  Whatever your sport, remove the mental barriers which limit yourself

“You will not lose”

Aussie Hypnotist puts UK Soccer Club on winning streak

“Since Ipswich Town engaged a Perth based Hypnotherapist, the struggling team has not lost in its past four outings.

Former top-flight Ipswich are a step below the Premier League, the club has been firmly wedged around the middle of the table, despite a new owner and a big injection of cash.

The Hypnotherapist held two mass hypnotisms on the team at their training ground. “They all go into a room together and go down into a trance. Basically under suggestion they’re told they will perform better, they will kick harder and more accurately. It enhances their natural capacities, it’s about maximizing the inner potential they have already”.

“A few players were cynical and dubious, mainly because hypnotism is a very misunderstood thing”. “What I do is maximize what they already know, if I can give them a 10 per cent edge, obviously it’s worth it”

Since the Perth based hypnotherapist first session, the team has won four games, drawn two and lost three. But in the past four games they have closest to a winning streak, earning three wins and a draw.

An Ipswich fan said “Something must be helping, because it’s a long time since we’ve had that kind of win”
